Music sharpens and visualises consciousness about the now and the beyond: it affects us and encourages us to find solutions to the smaller as well as bigger problems in a joint effort.
Based on this exchange, I see the important role that music can play in not only making us aware of current challenges. It also creates the opportunity to transform interpersonal relationships in a meaningful, aesthetic manner.

The outbreak of the Corona pandemic brought the cultural sector to a standstill worldwide. But now after times of lockdown, a flourishing cultural life is more important than ever before. After all, interpersonal closeness and social cohesion in a society can be rebuilt and strengthened especially through participation in cultural events.
Nevertheless, for some people it is still a special privilege to be able to attend a concert or the theatre. People from socially weaker households, with disabilities or refugees are often excluded from cultural life due to their financial hardship.
KulturRaum München is a non-profit association that promotes the cultural and social participation of all Munich residents through the provision of free tickets and is committed to cultural diversity and cosmopolitanism as well as to a tolerant, democratic and solidary urban society.
The musicians Anjulie Chen (piano), Selma Spahiu (violin), Elisabeth Buchner (viola) and Lukas Rothenfußer (cello), who all come from Munich, therefore want to express their gratitude and support for the KulturRaum München Foundation with this initiative by means of a charity concert.
In cooperation with a Munich landmark for highest gastronomic quality, an exciting culinary-musical event took place at Café Luitpold on 22 April 2023.
The event was generously supported by Café Luitpold, Otto Eckart Stiftung, Steinway&Sons München, Henle Verlag and author Benedict Wells.
